The Scholars Lab
Description The Scholars' Lab is located in Alderman 419 (4th floor, Alderman's West Wing, off the main entrance floor). In this spacious and sunlit room, the ITC Research Computing Support staff works with the Digital Research and Instructional Services (DRIS) group to provide advanced statistical, humanities research, and instructional support. The Research Computing Support Center is also joined with Alderman Library's GeoStat and EText Centers. Offering 4,000 square feet of public space, the Scholars' Lab has comfortable and flexible seating, spaces to work on collaborative projects, high-end computer workstations, scanning equipment, and specialized software for OCR, text manipulation, GIS, and statistical analysis. In addition, the GIS electronic classroom is located adjacent to the Scholars' Lab.
