Videoconferencing
Description ITC supports H.323 (Internet-based) videoconferencing. It supplies a gatekeeper and two Codian MCU's as infrastructure, but does not offer a central facility. Any non-firewalled network connection can be used for videoconferencing, allowing use of the technology from classrooms, conference rooms, and desktops. The website describes the various services. Portable units may be borrowed for use when a departmental facility is not employed. Note: The School of Continuing and Professional Studies maintains both H.323 and H.320 (ISDN) videoconferencing services that are fee-based. Their website is http://www.scps.virginia.edu/et/dvc.php
