Local Telephone Service
Description ITC's Communication Services group provides telephone services to all University and Health System departments, students in residence halls, and the Regional Centers of the Division of Continuing Education. The Carruthers Hall staff is responsible for processing requests for both service changes and equipment installation/relocation/removal. This group also handles telephone service billing, requests for Forced Authorization Codes and telephone calling cards, PhoneMail and Xpressions voicemail services, requests for in-bound 800 numbers, and preparation of the University of Virginia Telephone Directory. The staff in McKim Hall is responsible for paging services, ACD Reporting, operator services, and emergency call services.
