Help Desk
Description When you need computing help, call 4-HELP (434-924-4357) ... The ITC Help Desk serves as the central point of contact for computing users to obtain help with most computing and communications questions or problems. The Help Desk's mission is to answer our customers' questions, or assist them in finding answers, as quickly as possible. The ITC Help Desk strives to be knowledgeable and helpful with all of the computing platforms in use at the University of Virginia. Desktop/UNIX/Web support problems that cannot be solved in a phone call to the Help Desk will be referred to the appropriate technical staff for additional troubleshooting. Only if the additional phone/email consultation is unsuccessful at resolving the problem will the user be scheduled for support at an appropriate location or referred to other, possibly for-fee, service providers.
Fee Free (some extended support may be for -fee)
