Virginia SCAN Conference October 5-6, 2009 Registration

VA SCAN Conference 2009

Security in Lean Times

VA SCAN 2009

October 5-6, 2009
University of Virginia
Charlottesville, Virginia

Registration is Now Closed

Given the current troubled economy, few organizations can escape the need for pruning programs that do not clearly and directly support high priority goals. This situation could prove especially difficult for the information security profession, in which demonstration of strategic value has been a significant challenge even in the best of times.

There is no better time for individuals responsible for information security to assess how their resources are deployed and consider how those uses appear in the eyes of senior management. New strategies more directly linked to institutional goals might be needed and/or the value of current strategies might need better articulation. This is hard work, but there’s no reason to go it alone.

Join your colleagues on October 5-6, 2009 at the sixth annual conference of the Virginia Alliance for Secure Computing and Networking (VA SCAN), where the discussion will focus on maintaining a high performing security program even in lean economic times!
