Protect sensitive and legally protected data
Whether it be your personal tax return or legally protected data in your workplace, there is some information you truly need to keep safe.
- Question your need for the data. Delete it if you can.
- Remove sensitive information from the data. For example, after submission, does your electronic tax return form need to have your Social Security Number?
- If you go mobile with the sensitive data, consider encrypting it.
- If at work, does your supervisor know you have the data?
