PGI Compilers Licensed for Linux

ITC has purchased a PGI Server license which will provide 10 floating-network compiler licenses for the Linux platform. This includes PGI's full suite of parallelizing F77, F90, HPF, C and C++ compilers and development tools as well as their OpenMP parallel debugger/profiler. These licenses are available to any Linux workstation or cluster that mounts the PGI compiler installation from ITC's Unix server.

The machine must be connected to the local network (on-grounds) or to the internet (off-grounds) to communicate with the PGI license manager on ITC's Unix server. A detailed description of the PGI compilers can be found at the URL,

http://www.pgroup.com/products/serverindex.htm

Further information on how to access the PGI compilers as well as documentation on installing and using the compilers can be found on the Research Computing Services Web page at,

Specific questions about the PGI Server license as well general questions concerning the use of the PGI compilers should be directed to res-consult@virginia.edu.
