Minitab Availability

Minitab is available on the Windows and Macintosh platforms to faculty, staff and students at the University of Virginia in two different ways.

     1. ITC Computer Labs

In all ITC computer labs, Minitab version 14.2 for Windows and version 10.5x for Macintosh computers   For a list of all labs and locations, visit the ITC Labs and Classroom Website
     2. Acquire a copy for your own computer(s)
Minitab for Windows and Macintosh may now be installed on both University-owned and personally-owned computers by U.Va. faculty, staff, and students.

Minitab for Windows has been slightly upgraded to version 14.20. Those with Minitab currently installed on their Windows computer can check to see if there version is up-to-date by visiting the Minitab, Inc.'s Maintainance Updates Web site at: http://www.minitab.com/support/maintenance/

Minitab for the Macintosh remains at Version 10.5x which is several years old. For Macintosh OS-X users, it requires "Mac Classic" to be installed before installation of Minitab. You can get the CD for installation of Minitab 10.5x for Macintosh from the Research Computing Support Center, in room 244 Wilson Hall.

Those who want to install Minitab on their Windows computer and get Version 14.20 for Windows may do so directly from the ITC software licensing database/Web site at: http://web.virginia.edu/rescomp by logging in using your last name and UVa ID Number (social security number)
