Configure Mac OS X (10.3) to Access the wahoo Wireless Network

Requirements

  • Mac OS X version 10.3 with all current updates applied.
  • Make sure the time and date are correct on your computer.
  • An AirPort or AirPort Extreme wireless network card.
  • You must register your card on the UVa Network Registration site prior to setup. Guests should have this done by their UVa sponsor, or else have PIN access granted by the sponsor or sponsoring event.

These instructions will allow you to connect to the wahoo unencrypted wireless network. Guests cannot connect to the cavalier encrypted wireless network and are encouraged to make use of any VPN resources provided by their own institutions for network data protection.

If you are a UVa-affiliated individual with Mac OS X, you should configure your computer to access the cavalier encrypted wireless network.
