The chart below lists which Help Desk should be contacted for network problems in U.Va. Medical Center buildings. All other U.Va. building network problems should be referred to ITC.

U.Va. Data Network Building Management Overview

The responsibility for managing the university data network is shared between Information Technology and Communication (ITC) and Health System Computing Services (HSCS). While the two groups cooperate on the management of the main Grounds-wide backbone, the primary responsibility for the network inside individual buildings is assigned to one of the two organizations. The general dividing line is that HSCS is responsible in buildings that focus on patient care or hospital management while ITC is responsible in all other areas. Customers with data network problems should contact the Help Desk of the support organization for their building:
