Mission

The Mission of the Enterprise Systems Group is to provide the highest quality information technology infrastructure and services to the University of Virginia's administrative staff, in pursuit of the University's general aims and objectives.

The Enterprise Systems Group staff is responsible for maintaining the administrative mainframe operating system, the Integrated Systems infrastructure, the Student System Project infrastructure, and other Enterprise Systems. Our duties include system installation and configuration, troubleshooting, and backups and restores. We also provide consulting services for all administrative areas, ITC and non-ITC.

We offer expertise in the following technologies:

  • Mainframe Operating System - z/OS
  • Integrated System - Solaris
  • Student System Project - AIX
  • Quantum - StorNext software and i2000 tape library
