ITC Windows Services

MS SQL Service

[Nov 23, 2009 14:09] Web access to Microsoft Live@edu accounts now works.

Many departments need a more robust database environment than Microsoft Access, but cannot afford the overhead of a Microsoft SQL server. ITC's MS SQL Service provides a shared Microsoft SQL Server as a low-cost solution.

Storage can be leased according to the rates and guidelines described on the disk rate page. There is a one-time setup fee of one hour at $44 per hour for each database, and an annual charge of $346 for application recovery.

The departmental database administrator will have all the priviledges of a database owner in SQL Server. Database authentication can be accompished via local SQL accounts, or using NT Authentication with Eservices accounts.

To request an MS SQL service account please email us with your request, and include the following information:

  • Database owner's contact information
  • Amount of storage required (minimum one gigabyte)
  • PTAO that will support the account

For questions or additional information please email ITC Micro Systems.
