Premium Antivirus Service

Introduction

The Premium AntiVirus Service provides UVa faculty and staff with access to an ITC-administered system that automates the distribution of antivirus definitions using push technology. This technology uses ITC-supported Symantec AntiVirus Software. Let ITC take the worry out of virus definition updates!

How to Use the Service

  1. Download and install the latest Symantec AntiVirus Software from ITC's Software Central.
  2. When you have finished installing Symantec Antivirus, reboot your computer.
  3. You are now ready to run the conversion tool linked below. This conversion tool will reconfigure your current Symantec client so that updates can be installed automatically on your machine from ITC's server as new definitions become available.
