Verifying Your Identity with An iKey

What is an iKey?

The iKey USB token is a secure two-factor USB authentication device. Servers and services acessed with an iKey house a wide variety of sensitive and privileged data. For that reason, two-factor authentication is required for access to the system. The two factors used are

  • possession of a hardware identity device (a Rainbow iKey); and
  • knowledge of the password for the device.

Who Needs an iKey?

If you are using a system that requires this level of security for access. Those include:

  • Oracle Special Services
  • JointVPN
    • and Oracle
    • and Clinical
    • and Student Information System
  • Office of University Development
    • and JointVPN
    • and Oracle
    • and Warehouse
