ITC Walk-In Clinics

Special Sessions for Back-to-School

At the start of the fall semester each year, ITC offers special walk-in sessions to help new and returning students get their wireless configured and troubleshoot any connection problems they may encounter on Grounds.

Dates for these special sessions are posted about a week before classes begin.

During the Academic Year

ITC provides free walk-in support for notebook computers on weekday afternoons when classes are in session at libraries around Grounds:

  • Charles L. Brown Science and Engineering Library: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1 PM–4 PM
  • Clemons Library: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 1 PM–4 PM

While primarily addressing wireless connectivity and operating system issues, the Help Desk consultants are available for other questions as well. No appointment is necessary at these locations.

Know Before You Go

All scheduled sessions end promptly at the indicated time. Users with problems which have not yet been resolved or who arrived too late may need to return to a different session.

When you check in, you will be informed if we do not expect to be able to see you before the end of the session. Please allow at least 30 minutes for wireless problems.

Before making a special trip to the one of the Walk-In Clinics:

  • Ensure your system is up-to-date with the latest available patches and updates installed.
  • Bring your laptop computer, power supply, and all system disks.
  • Back up all critical data.
