To export data from your Oracle Calendar (CorporateTime) into spreadsheet format in Microsoft Excel 2007 for Windows:
- Export your Oracle Calendar entries into a data file, then
- Import the file into Excel 2007.
Export Data from Oracle Calendar
- Sign in to your Oracle calendar.
- From the File menu, choose Export Data...
- Choose Comma-delimited text file for Agendas.
- Click Continue.
- Under Period:, select a suitable range.
- Note: You can go as far back in time as you need, and proceed into the future if you already have appointments planned. The longer the time period you select, the longer it will take to make the export file.
- Under People/Resources:, be sure that the calendar selected is the correct one to export.
- Then click the Browse... button to choose a location and file name (keep .txt at the end of the file name).
- Note: Make sure you remember where this file is located, because you will have to find it again when you import the file into Excel. Your computer's desktop is the easiest place to find the file.
- Click OK.
Import Oracle Calendar Data into Excel 2007
- Open Excel.
- Click on the Microsoft Office button and select Open.
- Browse to the location where the exported file from Oracle Calendar was saved. This may require you to change the Files of type: to All Files.
- Highlight the file and click Open.
- In the Text Import Wizard window, under Original data type, select Delimited.
- Click Next.
- Select Comma under Delimiters on Step 2 of the Text Import Wizard window.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish on Step 3 of the Text Import Wizard window.
- The data from Oracle should now be displayed in the Excel Spreadsheet. You may have to expand the cell size to see all of the data.
