Configure Entourage 2008

This page provides information on how to configure Entourage 2008 on a Macintosh computer for use with the UVa centralized Exchange server.
If you are off-Grounds, you must have a connection via UVa Anywhere to configure Entourage 2008 on a Macintosh computer. You will need to know your Eservices/Exchange password, and have a UVa centralized Exchange account to be able to use Entourage 2008 on the UVa Exchange Service.

Entourage 2008 Configuration Information

  1. Verify that Entourage 2008 is installed on your computer.
  2. If you have Entourage 2008 open to another email server, close it.
  3. Open Entourage.
  4. If you see wizard or dialog boxes, close them.
  5. From the Tools drop-down menu, select Accounts.
  6. Select the Exchange tab on the Accounts window.
  7. Click New.
  8. Click the Configure account manually button at the bottom of the Account Setup Assistant window.
  9. Select the Account Settings tab.
  10. In the Account name: field, type Exchange
  11. In the Name: field, type your name.
    Example: M. S. Theatre
  12. In the E-mail address: field, type your email address on the UVa centralized Exchange server. This address is similar to your computingID@eservices.virginia.edu
    Example: mst3k@eservices.virginia.edu
  13. In the Account ID: field, type your UVa Computing ID.
    Example: mst3k
  14. In the Domain: field, type eservices.virginia.edu
  15. In the Password: field, type your Eservices/Exchange password.
  16. In the Exchange server: field, type https://mail.eservices.virginia.edu
  17. Check the This DAV service requires SSL box.
  18. Click the Advanced tab.
  19. In Public Folder Server field, type mail.eservices.virginia.edu
  20. Check the This DAV service requires SSL box.
  21. In the LDAP server: field, type esdc4.eservices.virginia.edu
  22. If needed, remove check from This server requires me to logon.
  23. Check the This LDAP server requires a secure connection (SSL) box.
  24. Click the OK button.
