UVa Calendar Services

Options for Calendaring at UVa

[Nov 23, 2009 14:09] Web access to Microsoft Live@edu accounts now works.

For UVa Faculty and Staff

Microsoft Exchange replaced Oracle Calendar (also known as CorporateTime) as the centralized calendaring solution at UVa as of Jan. 15, 2008. To use Exchange:

  • Use your Eservices account to request an account, if you haven’t gotten one already; and
  • Access your personal Exchange calendar:
    • On your own computer using an email program—either Microsoft Outlook (on a PC) or Entourage (on a Mac);
    • On any computer using the Outlook Web interface; or
    • From a mobile device.

For UVa Students

Only faculty and staff may use Microsoft Exchange for their calendaring needs; Exchange accounts are not available to students for personal use. If a student works for a department, and needs to schedule meetings, resources such as conference rooms, or events in the capacity of an employee, the department employing the student should request an Exchange account for him/her.

Personal calendar services for students are available through UVa student email services provided by UVa-contracted vendors.

Note for Oracle Calendar Offline Users

Oracle Calendar is no longer a centrally-provided calendaring solution at UVa. If you want information about using an already-installed Oracle client in offline mode only, please visit our Oracle Calendar Offline page.
