Student Consultant (SC) Interview Self-Signup Instructions

How to Schedule Yourself for an Interview

If you would like to become a Student Consultant (SC), complete your application by:

  1. Submitting your online application, and then
  2. Following the instructions below to schedule yourself for an interview.

When to Schedule an Interview

Typically, students schedule their interviews for when they are planning to be at UVa's Summer Orientation.

Appointments for an interview with the SC Program Coordinator may be made for any available slot, which are generally on Tuesdays and Fridays, from June 23–July 25, 2008, in Newcomb Hall Room 389.

Steps for Interview Self-Signup

Before you start, you may want to print these directions, or plan to toggle back and forth between this window and another browser window that has the appointment scheduler open.

  1. Go to the Appointment Scheduler (will open in a new browser window).
  2. In the top righthand corner, click Log in, and log in using your UVa computing ID (e.g., mst3k) and password.
  3. Click Make Appointment.
  4. On the righthand side, under Find Instructor, click on the L button to Browse by last name. A list of results showing faculty and staff who have last names that start with the letter "L" will appear.
  5. Next to Litchfield, Matthew (msl3y), click on the calendar icon Calendar icon you are to click. Matt's appointment schedule will then appear.
  6. From the Jump to week dropdown box, select any date from Jun. 22 to Jul. 20 that is a convenient week for you to interview (whenever you're planning on coming to UVa for Summer Orientation), and then click the blue and white arrow button (Blue & white arrow button you are to click).
  7. Click on the pencil icon (Pencil icon you are to click) next to your desired open time slot to reserve your appointment.
    • Note: If none of the available times work for you, try clicking the Next Week or Last Week buttons to see additional open time slots.
  8. After you click on the pencil icon (Pencil icon you are to click) to select an interview time, a Meeting Details page will appear. This page tells you the location of your interview and provides you with an optional text input area where you may enter any additional information you wish to share with Matt regarding your interview.
  9. After you review the information on this page, click the Reserve Event button to submit your request.
  10. Once you reserve your interview date, you will be presented with a Meeting Summary confirmation screen. Please print this confirmation message for your records, then click the Log Out button.
