ITC Student Employment

ITC student employees are called Computing Advisors (CAs), and their skill set includes:

  • exemplary customer service,
  • strong written and verbal skills, and
  • an interest in computers and technology.

CAs work about 5 hours per week in the first-year residence halls. They serve as technical resources for their peers and as ambassadors for ITC, acting as a communication channel to and from the UVa student body. CAs may not be able to fix computing problems, but they will know where to get technical help. They also conduct ITC’s annual student computing inventory of their fellow first-year students.
