Use the settings on this page to configure your email program (Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, Eudora, etc.) for your UVa email account:

The IMAP instructions below will work for any email program. The CMS may also be accessed online using UVa WebMail.

Recommended email programs: For the greatest functionality, Microsoft Outlook is recommended (for a PC) or Entourage (for a Mac)—see Microsoft Exchange at UVa for more detailed configuration info. But the IMAP instructions below will work for any email program. Exchange may also be accessed online using Outlook Web Access (OWA).

Email address must be specified in the format: UVa_Computing_ID@eservices.virginia.edu (e.g., mst3k@eservices.virginia.edu)

Your UVa Gmail account may be accessed online by logging in through NetBadge to the UVa Email Switchboard.

Username Your full @virginia.edu address, e.g., mst3k@virginia.edu.
Password

For Web access: The password you use to log into NetBadge.

For IMAP/POP access: Set directly with Google (not UVa) by logging into your Gmail account through NetBadge. Then click on Settings, and then the Accounts tab. Use the Change Password: link to reset your existing UVa Gmail password to a secure password of your choosing.

Your UVa Live account may be accessed online by logging in through NetBadge to the UVa Email Switchboard.

For Web access: The password you use to log into NetBadge.

For POP access: Set directly with Microsoft Windows Live (not UVa) by logging into your Live account through NetBadge.This is the password you were required to set up directly with Live the first time you logged in, when your account was first created. If you do not remember this password, log into your UVa Live account and change it.

To do this: Click on Options, then More Options. Under Manage your account, click View and edit your personal information. Next to Password, click Change.
