List Request Form
List Access Form

There are two options for creating an electronic mail mailing list for academic classes at the University of Virginia:

  1. You may have a Toolkit mailing list created for your class.

Many instructors find Toolkit lists easier to maintain than Mailman lists. Toolkit lists also afford greater compliance with federal regulations regarding privacy of class rosters.

To learn more about Toolkit mailing lists, please visit the website at:

    http://toolkit.virginia.edu/
and then select the link for:

    Help

to find documentation on the Toolkit and its mailing lists.

  2. You may have a Mailman mailing list created for your class

If you want a Mailman mailing list, please send your request for the list to:

    postmaster@Virginia.edu

with a note that you are aware of the toolkit list option but prefer, at this time, to use a Mailman list for your class. Remember to include in your message to postmaster@Virginia.edu the information needed to create your list.
