35mm Slides and Negatives

ITC-ACHS provides the capability to digitize images with our slide scanners, large format scanner, and densitometer.

Photographic 35mm slides and negatives

ACHS has two slide scanners which digitize images by importing them into Photoshop (see document ACHS-108). These images can be exported from Photoshop so you can analyse them with Image-Pro Plus or ImageQuant (see documents ACHS-103 and ACHS-204).

Electron microscopy and other large-format, black-and-white negatives

Use the densitometer (see document ACHS-104) or the Cobrascan x-ray film scanner (see document ACHS-118) to digitize film images. Images can be exported as TIFF files for use in Photoshop and other software. Photoshop images can then be exported for quantification with Image-Pro Plus or ImageQuant.

Large-format color slides and color negatives

Use the Epson Large Format Scanner (see document ACHS-217) to digitize larger slides. Images are scanned into Photoshop and can be exported for quantification with Image-Pro Plus or ImageQuant.
